Week 10 - 15 - 52 week challenge

Knit - 10/15
Sew - 5/15
Other 16/15
Opps time for an update I think.

Well life has been an adjustment with the new fella, so not alot of creating being done.  I have completed 2 knitting projects, a Mistake Rib Neckwarmer for my mw, and a huge 1600m test knit project for Julia which I cant tell you a thing about till the pattern is released.  I started this project in week 8 and finished it in week 14 thats how big it is.

As for sewing - I am going to have to have a big catch up - have plunket book covers to make, art totes to finish and some shorts and winter pants for my princess.  And thats just the start of the sewing list.

Others - well I am still a week ahead so phew that can wait.

Wk 8 - 52 week challenge

Knitting - 8/8
Sewing - 5/8
Other - 14/8

Well another slack week, Tama is nearly finished only have the sleeves to go.  But also cast on a rather large knitting project that is a test knit for someone so cant even tell you about it but it is more than a one week project I can tell you that much and will take about 1000m of wool.

As for sewing nope still no motivation there.

Others - well my oldest son came home from school a few weeks back telling me all about purple cake day and how they are fundraising for the Kenbe La Foundation and asked if I could make some t-shirts he could raffle, so after alot of deliberation we decided to use the KenbeLa Logo and slogan and come up with these which he is raffling

Week 7 - 52 week challenge

Knitting - 7/7
Sewing - 5/7
Other - 13/7

Well week 7 has seen a very slow week of crafting - I made some butterfly hairclips and finished the vertabrae and cast on a Tama and thats all I got done.  Have been busy trying to finish brewing this baby who should have arrived by now, but guess I am going to have to be patient.

So a slack week.  Will try harder this week.

Week 6 - 52 Week Challenge

Knitting - 7/6
Sewing - 5/6
Other - 7/6

Well week 6 saw me knit up a beautiful Milo that once I had finished I didnt like so unraveled it all, and have since casted on a vertabrae instead
Sewing has stalled again as I find sitting at the machine is very hard on my feet and causes alot of swelling this late in my pregnancy
Others - well I did another 6 t-shirts - 2 for a swap and 4 for my kids.  3 I need to go get some more fabric markers and touch up where the bleach has leeched but the kids are happy.

Week 4 - 52 week challenge

Okay so the tallys arent working so well, so far
Knitting - 2/4
Sewing - 0/4
Other - 5/4  ( I decided because each T takes alot of individual work that they will count as 1 each even though they are the same thing essentially)

So this week has started with a boom.  So far I have knitted a Paulette Scarfette with 10ply  Hand dyed merino for a friends B-day on Monday, which I gave to her half knitted and finished it that night.  This was started week 2, so essentially that was the catch up knit.  But today already I have cast on a bootie and finished it so half way to completeing week 4 knitting project.

Also have found that my sewing machine and overlocker have been dusted off and are on the catch up.

Well found finishing week 4 was actually easy - I did another bleached shirt testing a different method and also finished 3 ufos that I had been procrastinating on and sewed up 2 book bags (1 for a gift and 1 for Mr 5 starting school) and a art tote for my daughter.  I dont have a pic of the shirt but it was a rocket ship and stars on navy.

Week 3 - 52 week challenge

Okay so this week has seen a bit more movement and its not over yet.

So far I have made 5 embelished T-shirts and finished a ufo from the knitting bag, so I am catching up on everything except the sewing.

Wk 3 Knitting
I had a NB vertabrae in 4ply Merino sitting hybernating waiting for me to finish the band, this has been done.

Wk 3 Sewing
None

Wk 3 Other
I love while hate making embelished T's, but my boys love them.  I have made 7 total, 5 this week.  This is a bleaching technique where by you make a stencil and then bleach.  I google for images I want and then I have been using Durasel to make my stencils and then either spray, paint or blot the bleach on and wait.  If its a colder day you can spead up the process with a bit of heat from a hair dryer.

Week 2 - 52 week challenge

Well week 2 didn't go as planned

I cast on 2 knitting projects but have only half finished both of them.

Week 2 a wash out, so thats 1 knitted, 2 sewing and 2 other crafts behind already great start to the challenge.

Week 1 - 52 week challenge

Well week one got underway with alot of enthusiasm but no motivation.  I did however manage to knit a Seamless Kimono Sweater by Jacki Kelly out of Aqua 100% Perendale Wool from Skienz.

As for the sewing and other hmmm well procrastination set in and they are still waiting.

2012 52 week Challenge

OMG I finally found my blag again, roflol.

okay so this year, even though I am due to have #5 soon I have set myself a challenge that goes like this:
52 - knitted items
52 - sewn items
52 - other crafted items.

So okay from my calculation we are alredy in week 3 so I should have 9 items made and I will say I am a bit slacking.  Now it will probably get a bit confusing as I post this I will head back and do a weekly count of what I've been up to to get me up to date.
